The legal status of cannabis use in the US can still be somewhat confusing, especially since marijuana is still classified as a Schedule I drug and therefore, illegal at the federal level.

Nevertheless, in many states across the country, using cannabis, particularly for recreational purposes, has already been legalized.

Michigan is one of the states where recreational use of marijuana has been legalized, treating it as a substance similar to alcohol wherein only those of legal age – those aged 21 and above – can purchase and use it. In fact, it’s the first state in the Midwest United States to do so.

However, despite its legal status, it can still be difficult for cannabis enthusiasts to find a dispensary in Michigan as the recent pandemic delayed the roll-out of sales in the state.

Nevertheless, some dispensaries have opened, and here are the top 15 recreational dispensaries in Michigan.
